The Human Element of Crisis Response
The Crisis Ends. The Human Impact Doesn't.They Run Toward Danger to Protect Us. We Hold the Space for Their Recovery.
We Need Them. And They Need Us.
Supporting Those Who Support Us
You’ve Build the Foundation. Now Build Mastery.
More Expertise. More Coaching Capabilities. More Ways to Reach the People Who Need It.
Your First Responder Resiliency Leadership Coach Certification gave you more than the fundamentals of professional coaching. It gave you a specialized approach to developing people, strengthening resilience, and applying coaching to the realities of leadership in high-stress environments.
Resiliency Leadership® was your starting point for a reason. It brought together transformational leadership, psychological hardiness, and professional coaching to help you understand how leadership influences individual performance, resilience, and organizational culture.
You also began exploring the human side of crisis response through five hours of foundational education in Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response®. You learned that responding effectively to a crisis and recovering from its effects are two very different challenges.
Now it’s time to go deeper.
Your ICF Level 2 Accredited education builds on that foundation through advanced coaching practice and three additional areas of specialized education.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® — Go Beyond the Introduction.
Build on your initial five hours with advanced education in a nonclinical, trauma-informed coaching approach. Deepen your understanding of the effects of adversity and develop the coaching capabilities to support the people you coach as they explore their experiences, recognize their resources, and move toward recovery and growth.
Group Coach Certification — Take Coaching Beyond the Individual.
Develop the skills to design and facilitate professional group coaching programs. For first responders, this creates opportunities to bring peer-to-peer learning, shared experience, and professional coaching together to strengthen leadership, resilience, and personal and professional development.
Stress Management & Resiliency Coach Certification — Understand the Pressure Behind the Profession.
Explore the science of stress and its effects on physical and psychological well-being, decision-making, relationships, and performance. Learn to apply that knowledge within professional coaching to help the people you coach develop practical strategies for managing stress and sustaining resilience.
One Foundation. Multiple Specializations. A Broader Professional Practice.
These aren’t unrelated courses added to a certification.
Each area strengthens the others.
Resiliency Leadership® provides a framework for developing people and strengthening leadership. Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® deepens your ability to work within the coaching scope with people navigating adversity. Group Coaching expands how you deliver coaching to individuals learning and growing together. Stress Management & Resiliency brings additional scientific knowledge and practical strategies to the challenges the people you coach face on the job.
Together, they give you the education to develop specialized coaching programs for the people and organizations you serve.
You started by learning how to coach. Now you’re developing the expertise to determine where, when, and how your coaching can make the greatest impact.

WHERE EDUCATION MEETS EXECUTION
Academic Rigor. Real-World application.
Advanced coaching education should do more than expand what you know. It should strengthen what you can do.
Our ICF Level 2 Accredited education brings together evidence-informed theory, specialized knowledge, and hands-on coaching practice to build the expertise that sets a professional coach apart.
That expertise matters. It’s what earns trust within your own agency, so people choose to come to you for coaching. And it’s what gives you the credibility to build a coaching practice of your own.
Through practical exercises, observed coaching, professional feedback, and mentor coaching, you’ll develop the proficiency to support individuals, strengthen leadership, and help build a coaching culture within high-stress organizations.
We don’t stop at teaching you what coaching is. We expect you to demonstrate what you can do with it.

THE FLAGSHIP PROGRAM
ORIGINAL FRAMEWORKS. ADVANCED APPLICATION.
One Foundation. A Complete Body of Work.
Professional coaching provides the foundation. Resiliency Leadership® and Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® provide the specialized frameworks that bring coaching into the realities of public safety, where leadership, human performance, resilience, and recovery intersect.
Developed by Dr. Janine Elias, Founder of the Elias Institute of Professional Coaching, these original frameworks are at the heart of our ICF Level 1 and Level 2 Accredited education.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® is the flagship specialization of Level 2. Building on the foundation established in Level 1, the advanced program brings together specialized education, practical coaching tools, and professional skill development to help coaches support recovery from adversity and put that knowledge to work with individuals, groups, and organizations.
The 75-hour ICF Level 1 Accredited First Responder Resiliency Leadership Coach Certification includes 10 hours of Resiliency Leadership® specialization training and 5 hours of foundational Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® education. Level 2 builds on those 75 hours with advanced education and practical application, bringing the complete program to 150 hours.
How the Education Comes Together
Resiliency Leadership®

Level 2 includes advanced application of the Elias Institute’s Emotional Recovery group coaching protocol.

Develop the skills to design and facilitate structured group coaching programs, navigate group dynamics, establish trust and professional boundaries, and create opportunities for shared learning and growth. This education also supports the implementation of the Emotional Recovery group coaching protocol.
Stress Management & Resiliency Coach Certificate
Explore the science of stress, psychological hardiness, and evidence-informed coaching strategies that help people understand their responses to pressure, strengthen coping capabilities, and develop habits that support resilience and recovery.
Advanced Coaching Practicum
Strengthen your coaching proficiency through practice, observation, evaluation, and professional feedback. Apply the ICF Core Competencies to complex coaching conversations and develop the skills to turn specialized knowledge into effective professional coaching.
Personal & Mentor Coaching
Receive one-on-one coaching before and after each specialization. Participants continuing from ACC also complete a 3-hour Bridge Mentor Coaching Package that includes their PCC-level performance evaluation.
Each component has a distinct purpose. Together, they form an integrated education designed to bring Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® into practice.
Resiliency Leadership®
Resiliency Leadership® | Advanced Application
Resilience is often treated as an individual responsibility. Resiliency Leadership® goes further. Combining transformational leadership, psychological hardiness, and professional coaching, it equips leaders to strengthen personal resilience, develop personnel, and build internal structures that make resilience part of how agencies operate.
You earned that foundation in Level 1. Level 2 takes it deeper, into the leadership realities that test resilience most: rank, pressure, team dynamics, and the systems that shape how an agency works.
Advanced coursework prepares you to:
- Coach within a hierarchy, bridging rank and relationships to strengthen communication and results
- Apply brief and managerial coaching in the moments leaders actually have, from a hallway conversation to an after-action debrief
- Coach leaders to build cohesive teams, set boundaries that unite, and navigate workplace conflict
- Support leaders through organizational initiatives and system reform, keeping the people doing the work at the center
Throughout, you’ll sharpen the balance at the heart of Resiliency Leadership®: carrying out the daily responsibilities that keep an agency running in ways that develop and inspire the people doing the work.
This is Resiliency Leadership® at an advanced level, and it gives Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® its leadership reach: the ability to build recovery into how an agency leads, not only into individual coaching conversations.
Discover the theory, research, and practical applications behind the Resiliency Leadership® framework.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response®
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® | The Flagship Specialization
The incident may be over. But for the one who lived it, the impact doesn’t always end when the call is cleared.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® is a nonclinical, trauma-informed coaching approach built around a powerful idea: the experiences that change us don’t have to define or defeat us. It helps people make sense of and attach meaning to what they’ve lived through, and find a way forward through adversity rather than around it.
You began this work in Level 1, coaching within the closed system of first responder culture and the realities of shift work. Level 2 completes the full specialization and takes Emotional Recovery into advanced practice.
Advanced coursework prepares you to:
- Use brief coaching techniques in high-stress moments, helping people focus on small, workable steps within reach
- Recognize the cognitive and emotional responses to crisis, and coach people toward the social support and resources they need
- Facilitate group coaching for Emotional Recovery, including the Elias Institute’s Emotional Recovery group coaching protocol, for people working through shared experiences
- Apply nonclinical approaches to reducing the impact of trauma, and recognize when and how to refer someone to a mental health professional
- Coach around the long-term demands of shift work on motivation, health, and relationships
Recovery isn’t about returning to who you were before. It’s about discovering who you can become, carrying forward greater understanding, strength, determination, and wisdom from what you’ve lived through.
Explore the principles and practical applications behind the Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® framework.
Group Coaching Certification
Group coaching is not teaching, training, or running a meeting. Leading a project team, delivering a briefing, and teaching a class each have their place, but none of them is group coaching. Group coaching is also more than individual coaching with additional people in the room. It requires an understanding of group dynamics, the ability to navigate difficult conversations, and the skills to establish trust, maintain boundaries, and create an environment where people can learn from one another.
In first responder and paramilitary environments, those skills take on additional importance. Rank, chain of command, agency culture, confidentiality, and concerns about fitness-for-duty evaluations can influence whether participants feel safe speaking openly. Effective group coaching requires an understanding of these realities and the ability to establish clear agreements, respect professional boundaries, and foster psychological safety without promising confidentiality that cannot be guaranteed.
Built for Peer Support
When trust is in place, a group becomes a powerful setting for growth. First responders often listen most closely to the people who have done the job. Group coaching gives peer support teams a professional structure for learning from shared experience, strengthening connection, and building resilience together.
Building Trust Within the Community
After a crisis, you may be invited to support community recovery with little notice, in settings you didn’t design. You’ll develop the skills to assess whether group coaching is appropriate, establish structure quickly, and facilitate nonclinical coaching conversations that support reflection, resilience, and forward movement.
Earned as part of your ICF Level 2 Accredited education, our Group Coach Certification combines professional coaching competencies, transformational leadership, and Resiliency Leadership® with practical tools for designing and facilitating structured group coaching programs that strengthen connection, leadership, and resilience.
Explore the theory, group coaching techniques, and practical applications behind our Group Coach Certification.
Stress Management & Resiliency Coaching
Stress doesn’t end when the shift does. For first responders, the demands of the profession can accumulate over years, affecting sleep, physical and psychological well-being, relationships, decision-making, and performance. Learning to manage stress isn’t simply about reducing pressure. It’s about understanding how stress works, recognizing its effects, and developing the capabilities to respond effectively.
Understand the Science. Shape the Response.
Stress is highly individual. Two people can experience the same event and respond very differently. Explore the science of stress, the role of perceived control, and the three C’s of psychological hardiness—Commitment, Control, and Challenge. Learn to apply evidence-informed coaching strategies that help people recognize their stress responses, strengthen coping capabilities, and build habits that support resilience.
Beyond the Critical Incident
Many stressors don’t come from a critical incident. Shift work, disrupted sleep, organizational pressures, difficult relationships, and repeated exposure to adversity can take a cumulative toll. Develop coaching approaches that address these everyday realities, including sleep hygiene, burnout, secondary trauma, and the physical, cognitive, and behavioral effects of prolonged stress.
From Personal Resilience to Professional Practice
Effective stress management begins with understanding your own responses to pressure. This education gives you the knowledge and practical tools to strengthen your personal resilience while developing structured, nonclinical coaching approaches to help others manage stress, build psychological hardiness, and sustain performance in demanding environments.
Earned as part of your ICF Level 2 Accredited education, our 30-hour OnDemand Stress Management & Resiliency Coach Certificate program combines scientific foundations, professional coaching techniques, and practical applications that transfer directly into the workplace.
Explore the research, coaching strategies, and practical tools behind our Stress Management & Resiliency Coach Certificate.
Mentor Coaching
Personal & Mentor Coaching
Your Coaching Experience Continues in Level 2
In Level 2, you continue to experience high-quality coaching yourself while you advance toward your PCC credential.
Personal Coaching | 6 Hours
For each of your three specializations, you’ll receive two one-on-one coaching sessions:
- Before you begin the specialization: a one-on-one session to set your goals and decide how you want to apply that expertise in your work.
- After you complete the specialization: a one-on-one session to reflect on your development and plan your next steps.
This applies to Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response®, Group Coaching, and Stress Management & Resiliency, for a total of 6 hours of personal coaching.
Mentor Coaching: One Foundation. Two Credentialing Options.
Your 10 Hours of Mentor Coaching Count Toward Both ACC and PCC.
The 10 hours of mentor coaching you completed in Level 1, 7 group and 3 individual sessions with an ICF Mentor Coach, also satisfy the ICF mentor coaching requirement for the PCC credential. You do not need to repeat those hours as you advance toward your PCC.
Continuing from ACC to PCC
If you complete Level 1 with an ACC-level performance evaluation and later continue into Level 2, you’ll complete an additional 3-hour Bridge Mentor Coaching Package. This includes advanced coaching feedback and a PCC-level performance evaluation to demonstrate your proficiency in meeting the ICF Core Competencies at the PCC standard.
Going Directly to PCC
If you enroll in both Level 1 and Level 2 within three weeks of beginning your Level 1 program and choose to pursue PCC directly, your coaching performance will be evaluated at the PCC standard rather than the ACC standard.
Your mentor coaching will focus on PCC-level proficiency from the beginning, eliminating the need for the additional 3-hour Bridge Mentor Coaching Package.
Whether you earn your ACC first or pursue PCC directly, your Level 1 mentor coaching carries forward into Level 2.

Not Yet Certified? Your Path to Level 2 Starts Here.
Level 2 builds on the First Responder Resiliency Leadership Coach Certification, the foundation of our historic, nationwide effort to advance how public safety develops and supports its people.
The Initiative launches January 26, 2027, and runs for 36 months. During that window, 350 first responders and the professionals who support them will each complete 75 hours of training in cohorts. Two hundred sworn officers, including chiefs, mid-level leaders, and peer support members, will earn their First Responder Resiliency Leadership Coach Certification through the Elias Institute, preparing them to bring professional coaching into their agencies across the country. Alongside them, 150 support professionals will extend that capacity beyond the internal chain of command: 50 retired officers, 50 mental health professionals, and 50 external coaches trained in the same leadership coach approach.
Great professions build on their strengths as they grow. Public safety has always led with courage, commitment, and service. This Initiative adds professional coaching to that foundation by introducing a leadership coach approach to developing and supporting people across the profession. The leaders who take part will help shape and inform how first responders are developed, supported, and led for decades to come.
Join the Initiative, earn your Level 1 certification, and you’re ready to continue into Level 2.
Be among the first. Participants who enroll during the first year of the Initiative receive Founding Initiative tuition, with limited enrollment in each cohort.
Our Unique Approach
Many coach training programs teach coaching in general terms and leave participants to figure out how to translate what they have learned into real-world application. We don’t.
Over the years, we have identified an essential component of developing skillful coaches: participants need a specific topic to coach around. They also need a clear framework that allows them to apply what they are learning, strengthen their coaching skills, and develop mastery over time.
Instead of learning coaching skills in isolation, our participants develop those skills while coaching around the real challenges, conversations, and decisions found in public safety.
That philosophy is built directly into the design of our ICF Level 1 and Level 2 Accredited programs. Participants complete the coach training ICF requires while learning to apply those skills through original specializations developed by Dr. Janine Elias and the Elias Institute of Professional Coaching.
Resiliency Leadership® and Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® provide distinct frameworks for applying professional coaching to the culture, challenges, and realities of public safety. In Level 1, Resiliency Leadership® runs through the entire program, bringing together transformational leadership, psychological hardiness, and professional coaching. Level 2 builds on that foundation with advanced Resiliency Leadership® and our flagship specialization, Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response®, supported by the Group Coach Certification and the Stress Management & Resiliency Coach Certificate.
Participants aren’t left to figure out how to apply what they have learned after the training ends. They learn to coach by coaching the very issues they are being trained to address.
Resiliency Leadership®
Specialization earned in Level 1 | Advanced application in Level 2
Resiliency Leadership® is an original leadership protocol that integrates three essential components: the four characteristics of transformational leadership; the psychology of hardiness and the 3 C’s—Challenge, Control, and Commitment; and formal professional coach training.
In Level 1, you learned to unpack the 3 C’s through impromptu coaching conversations and formal coaching relationships, helping personnel examine challenges, recognize where they have control, reconnect with commitment, and develop the capacity to navigate adversity.
Level 2 takes Resiliency Leadership® further, into the leadership realities that test resilience most. Advanced coursework prepares you to coach within a hierarchy, apply brief and managerial coaching in the moments leaders actually have, build cohesive teams, and support leaders through organizational initiatives and system reform.
A Resiliency Leader develops resilience in others. At the advanced level, that means building resilience into the day-to-day operations and culture of the department, and giving Emotional Recovery its leadership reach.
Resiliency Leadership® extends resilience beyond individual responsibility to a leadership capability and organizational practice.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response®
The Flagship Specialization of Level 2
Too often, first responders describe themselves as barely holding it together—doing everything they can simply to survive the job. Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® asks a different question: What if recovery is possible?
Level 1 introduced the foundational principles of Emotional Recovery: how cumulative exposure to high-stress environments, critical incidents, loss, and adversity can influence emotional well-being and resilience, and why meaning-making matters.
Level 2 completes the full specialization and takes Emotional Recovery into advanced practice. You’ll learn brief coaching techniques for high-stress moments, nonclinical approaches to reducing the impact of trauma, when and how to refer to a mental health professional, and how to facilitate the Elias Institute’s Emotional Recovery group coaching protocol.
Emotional Recovery is not about trying to go back to who you were before. It is about moving through the experience and coming out the other side stronger, more resourceful, and with greater wisdom—equipped with tools to navigate what comes next and the capacity to thrive.
One Program, Two Settings
Graduates leave with an advanced leadership coach approach they can use inside their agencies as leaders and outside the chain of command as culturally informed coaches, group coaches, consultants, and support professionals.

FLAGSHIP SPECIALIZATION
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® Coach Certification
The Crisis Ends. The Human Impact Doesn’t.
First responders are trained to respond to emergencies, make critical decisions, and perform under extraordinary pressure. But the impact of those experiences doesn’t necessarily end when the call is over. Repeated exposure to adversity, loss, and critical incidents can influence how people think, feel, relate to others, and experience the world around them.
Returning to duty is not the same as Emotional Recovery. People can continue to function, meet expectations, and serve their communities while carrying experiences they have not yet made sense of. Survival is how responders endure what the job brings. Emotional Recovery is how they move through what it leaves behind.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® begins with a powerful question: What if recovery is possible?
This advanced, nonclinical coaching specialization explores the human experience of adversity and the processes that support recovery, meaning-making, and growth. It prepares professional coaches to help individuals examine how difficult experiences have influenced their perspectives, recognize their existing strengths and resources, and discover new possibilities for moving forward.
Level 1 builds the foundation. Level 2 takes Emotional Recovery into advanced practice.
Where Resiliency Leadership® Comes to Life
Resiliency Leadership® brings together transformational leadership, psychological hardiness, and professional coaching to strengthen resilience as both an individual capability and an organizational practice.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® puts those disciplines to work around one of the most important challenges in first response: helping people move forward after experiences that have changed their lives.
Through advanced education in the science of stress, psychological hardiness, trauma-informed principles, Emotional Recovery, and professional coaching, you’ll explore how people respond to adversity, how beliefs and interpretations influence their experiences, and how purposeful coaching conversations can support new awareness, personal agency, and forward movement. You’ll learn to help people recognize what they’re carrying without asking them to relive an event, and to identify losses that go beyond death: a sense of safety, trust, identity, or the future they once imagined.
The goal is not to erase what happened or tell someone how to recover. It is to develop the coaching proficiency to help people discover what recovery can mean for them and identify the steps they are ready to take.
Getting Unstuck: Putting the Framework into Practice
Understanding Emotional Recovery is one thing. Translating that understanding into a structured coaching experience is another.
In Level 2, you’ll unpack the Elias Institute’s Emotional Recovery group coaching protocol, examining its structure, underlying concepts, coaching tools, and practical application.
You’ll learn to facilitate group conversations that help participants recognize patterns of thinking, examine beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, consider alternative perspectives, and identify opportunities for forward movement.
You’ll also learn to establish coaching agreements, navigate group dynamics, maintain appropriate professional boundaries, and recognize when an individual’s needs fall outside the scope of nonclinical coaching.
This is where theory becomes application. Rather than only learning about Emotional Recovery, you’ll develop the knowledge and coaching skills to facilitate a structured process that supports reflection, shared learning, and personal growth.
One Body of Work. Multiple Ways to Support Recovery.
Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® is the flagship specialization of our ICF Level 2 Accredited education. The additional advanced courses are intentionally connected, giving you the knowledge, tools, and coaching proficiency to apply this work in different settings.
Group Coaching develops your ability to design and facilitate professional coaching experiences for groups. You’ll learn to navigate the realities of peer support, rank, chain of command, confidentiality, and psychological safety while developing the facilitation skills to implement structured group coaching programs, including the Emotional Recovery group coaching protocol. For many responders, shared experience creates a powerful foundation for trust, connection, and recovery.
Stress Management & Resiliency deepens your understanding of how stress affects the mind, body, behavior, and performance. You’ll explore the science of stress, psychological hardiness, and evidence-informed strategies that help individuals recognize their responses to pressure, strengthen coping capabilities, and develop habits that support recovery and resilience.
Resiliency Leadership® equips you to weave Commitment, Control, and Challenge into Emotional Recovery conversations and helps leaders build recovery into the culture of the agency instead of leaving it to chance.
Advanced Coaching Practicum brings your professional coaching skills into sharper focus. Through practice, observation, evaluation, and feedback, you’ll strengthen your ability to evoke awareness, navigate complex coaching conversations, and support the people you coach in turning new insights into meaningful action. It’s the discipline that keeps this work coaching, not advice, counseling, or an attempt to fix someone else’s experience.
Each component has its own purpose. Together, they prepare you to develop and deliver nonclinical coaching programs that respond to the realities of first responders, support personnel, and the communities they serve.
Resiliency Leadership® provides the foundation. Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® brings the entire body of work to life.
Discover the research, principles, and practical applications behind our Emotional Recovery for Crisis Response® Coach Specialization.

These 14 hours are built into the Coaching Foundations and Coaching for Designing Actions courses. They’re described separately here because preparing you to put your coaching to work is a core part of the program. Coursework addresses establishing credibility as a coach, defining coaching services, developing coaching capacity within your own agency, navigating organizational and sponsor relationships, and building a sustainable independent coaching practice.
Coaching Practicum | 7 Embedded Hours | Group Mentor Coaching
This is where knowledge becomes a demonstrated coaching skill. These 7 hours are built into the Coaching Foundations courses. They’re described separately here because this is where knowledge becomes demonstrated coaching skill. The Coaching Practicum also serves as the group mentor coaching component of the program, giving participants structured opportunities to coach, observe coaching, receive feedback, and strengthen their application of the ICF Core Competencies.

Coursework covers group coaching foundations, group dynamics, using assessments with groups, nonclinical trauma reduction in group settings, virtual social support groups, and Resiliency Leadership® and crisis response group coaching. TESTIMONIALS
What Our Participants Say
I’ve been in management and leadership for over three decades watching the changes in how we do business and what is needed to support our staff continue to change more and more each year. I feel this training has given me the tools, skills, and confidence to identify emerging leaders, increase engagement, and provide a sense of workplace stability in these ever changing times. I chose the Crisis Response Specialization and the learning has been transformative. If you’re on the fence about formal coach training take the calculated risk – it’s WELL worth it!

Program Assessments
Our certification programs are evidence-based. Participants complete three validated assessments at the start and close of the program to measure growth:
Participants also learn to use these assessments in their own coaching relationships, including how to introduce them, interpret results, and debrief clients.
***Some assessments require separate purchase, licensing, or certification for use with your own clients. Details are covered in the program.
Hardiness Resilience Gauge (HRG)
TAB 1: Hardiness Resilience Gauge (HRG)
When the pressure is on, what keeps you steady?
The HRG measures the 3 C’s of hardiness: Challenge, Control, and Commitment. The 3 C’s are a core component of Resiliency Leadership®. When it comes to hardiness, more isn’t always better. The goal is a healthy balance across all three, and your results show where each one falls.
In coaching: The HRG gives resilience conversations a clear starting point and helps the people you coach work toward that balance. Repeated assessments can help them recognize changes in their psychological hardiness over time.
Want to use the HRG with your own clients? Our Hardiness Resilience Gauge Certification prepares you to administer and debrief it.
Perceived Stress Scale (PSS)
How much is the job really weighing on you?
The PSS is one of the most widely used stress measures in the world. Ten quick questions ask how you’ve perceived stress over the past month, and your score reflects how you’ve been experiencing stress during that time.
In coaching: The PSS works as a quick check-in. Use the results to open conversations with the people you coach about workload, recovery, and what is within their influence.
Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ)
How do you lead when it counts?
The MLQ is one of the most widely used leadership assessments in the world. It measures the full range of leadership behaviors: transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire. Your results show which behaviors you rely on most and how your leadership is balanced across the range.
In coaching: The MLQ gives leadership conversations a clear starting point. Coaches use the results to help leaders recognize their strengths, explore the balance between transformational and transactional leadership, and identify the behaviors they want to develop.

OnDemand Video Library
Learn on your schedule, not around it.
Every course in the program includes an OnDemand video series presented by certified instructors. The content is academically rigorous, grounded in research and established theory, and built for practical application. Each video connects the concepts you’re learning to the real conversations, decisions, and challenges you face in your work.
Videos run from 5 to 60 minutes, so you can learn in short segments between shifts or settle in for a deeper session when time allows. You get instant access upon registration, so you can start learning before your first live session, and you’ll arrive ready to dive into hands-on coaching practice.
Your learning doesn’t end when the program does. Your OnDemand library stays available for 6 months after you complete the program, so you can refresh key concepts, revisit techniques as you begin coaching on your own, and keep building toward mastery.

What Folks Are Saying
“I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Elias’ Leadership Group Coaching: Crisis Response and Transformational Leadership program. The small group interaction was beneficial as it allowed me to see that in general, the problems encountered in my agency are very similar, if not the same as in other agencies. Dr. Elias provides guidance into building better relationships with subordinates through a more nuanced coaching technique rather than a direct “you should do this” method.”
“Dr. Elias, thank you for the years of knowledge and experience you have poured into your Group Coaching Certification. An incredibly comprehensive program with high-quality content, meaningful activities, and relevant resources, so many tools to help me excel. I have elevated my skills far beyond what I had imagined. I highly recommend her programs to anyone wanting to grow their coaching and program development skills!“
