Registration Policies

Professional Development Courses & Certification Programs

Some of our individual Professional Development Programs are noncredit offerings.

All Certification programs are accredited and provide professional association, industry approved, continuing education credit for a verity of professional certifications. Please visit our Accreditation and Continuing Education page for more details on continuing education.

Register and pay in full early to reserve a spot, as space is limited. To register, visit the page directly associated with the certification you are interested in CRC, TLC, GCC, or HRG

Program Tuition 

The tuition covers:

  • Course instruction
  • Course videos
  • Program manual
  • Email support for the duration of the program

Payment

Registration is not complete until you are paid in full.

Credit cards are the preferred form of payment and Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted at the time of registration.

Payment by wire transfer or check is also accepted, however, the processing can take up to two weeks, therefore it must be submitted prior to the start of the program. Therefore, we highly recommended that you pay first with a credit card in order to ensure your seat in the program and then, if possible, seek reimbursement from your employer.

Tuition Reduction 

We currently offer tuition reduction to:

  • Groups of two to five individuals attending the same program from the same organization: The first participant pays full price, and a 10 percent tuition reduction is extended to up to four additional participants. Please note that we do not allow more than five participants from one organization in any single open-enrollment program so that we can encourage diversity of industry and experience for participants. This tuition reduction is not good with any other tuition reduction option. Participant may choose the tuition reduction that best meets their needs, however, are not able to combine tuition reductions. For more than 5 participants consider a custom program.
  • Individuals attending more than one program: You pay full tuition for the first program registration and receive a 5 percent discount on any additional programs.

Prerequisites

Proficiency in written and spoken English is required for participation in all Professional Development programs. See individual program pages for additional prerequisites.

The Group Coaching Certification is an intermediate level program that has a prerequisite of 21 Hours of formal coach specific training conducted by an accredited institution accredited by ICF or NBCHWC.

Certificate of Completion

You receive a certificate of completion upon meeting all program requirements with active participation in the program.

Continuing Education Hours: you will receive a continuing education certificate in addition to your certificate of completion.

Program Certification: there are additional requirements to become a Certified Transformational Leadership Coach or Crisis Response Coach in addition to the completion of the full 75-hour program. For a complete description of certification requirements and fees see our coach certification page.

International Participants

According to US State Department guidelines, visitors may use the B-1 visa for brief stays, usually less than six months, to participate in scientific, educational, professional, or business conventions, conferences, or seminars, or to undertake independent research.

For the most current visa information, check the US Department of State Website periodically. Consult the US embassy or consulate in your country to determine the appropriate visa category and necessary documentation. We recommend that you list “professional development” rather than “school” or “study” as your reason for coming to the United States.

Once you have registered and paid your tuition in full, you may request a letter of participation for visa purposes. Requests may take up to ten business days to process. To make your request, email support@EliasInstituteofProfessionalCoaching.com

Disabilities

Elias Institute of Professional Coaching is happy to respond to reasonable requests for accommodations. Health Insurance

You must be covered individually with comprehensive health insurance for your medical needs including major medical emergencies and hospitalization. Check with your organization’s health insurance carrier before your arrival to ensure that you have adequate coverage. Elias Institute of Professional Coaching is NOT responsible for medical fees incurred during your stay or travel to or from your destination.

Immunizations

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, please ensure your immunizations are up to date prior to arrival to events or retreats.

Financial Assistance

Elias Institute of Professional Coaching Professional Development programs are NOT eligible for Federal Student Loan Assistance.

Registration Changes & Cancellations

Cancellation MUST be submitted in writing. To cancel or transfer your registration, write to support@EliasInstituteofProfessionalCoaching.

Participants who cancel 14 days prior to the start of the program will be assessed a $150 cancellation fee for two-day & three-day programs and a $450 cancellation fee for the Transformational Leadership Coach Certification, Crisis Response Coach Certification, or Group Coach Certification programs. There are NO REFUNDS for participants who cancel less than two weeks prior to the start of the program. If you do not cancel and do not attend the program, you forfeit the entire tuition.

Changes: If you need to change to a different program start date then you were originally registered for, there is a $75 administrative fee if two weeks advance notice is given. If less than two weeks notice to change program start date there is a $150 administrative fee.  

If a course must be canceled due to a natural disaster, crisis, or instructor illness the courses will be rescheduled. 

Unusual Medical Circumstances: If a course location must be canceled due to a pandemic with governments mandating no travel to the location, the courses will be rescheduled. Specifically, in the event of a pandemic resulting in governments ordering no travel to the workshop location, that in-person program will be conducted on the same dates and times as planned, in our distance learning setting. If an individual is seriously ill and has a doctor’s letter, or has reason to believe they may have been exposed to coronavirus, please let us know so we can arrange alternative training options/dates. For the welfare of the all participants, if are ill and likely contagious, it is requested you not attend that particular training program location/date, and contact us so we can further discuss alternate training dates. For the safety of all participants, if you arrive at an event and show symptoms of illness you will be asked to go home, we will contact you and discuss transfer to a future course date. 

General Program Cancellations

Programs may be added or canceled throughout the year. If a program is canceled, Elias Institute of Professional Coaching will refund the program tuition in full but is NOT responsible for travel, accommodations, or other expenses incurred by the participant.

Refusal of Registration

Elias Institute of Professional Coaching has the right to refuse service. In addition, Elias Institute of Professional Coaching may refuse registration to anyone who has been required to withdraw from a prior course or certification program.

Nondiscrimination

Elias Institute of Professional Coaching does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, national or ethnic origin, political beliefs, veteran status, or disability unrelated to job or course of study requirements in admission to, access to, treatment in, or employment in its programs and activities.
