Crisis Response
We hope as a nation and a global community that our Safer At Home efforts have been successful in overcoming this pandemic and as we open our nation back up that we will continue with our recovery process.
In addition to the global pandemic, we are experiencing social unrest with protesting, social injustice, rioting, looting, the destruction of livelihood with burned or destroyed businesses, and loss of life. Increasing the overwhelm, confusion, and uncertainty.
Making it even more important to prepare ourselves, our businesses, and our communities to cope with the continued uncertainty.
You Want to Help, You Want to Give Back, Yet You are Not Sure Where to Start
In the wake of an unprecedented global challenge where countries around the world have banded together, shutting down most businesses, and calling for social isolation to combat a virus that we have never encountered before.
The steps our national, state, and local governments are taking are so fluid they are changing not just daily but hour by hour. Causing fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.
In addition to the unprecedented levels of change, financial hardship, and record hights of unemployment we have been asked to continue to social distance and to stay at home when possible.
We have been cooped up for months, we want this to just go away, we want things to go back to normal. Unfortunately, this global pandemic will have a far-reaching impact that is simply unknown. How do we navigate the trauma and continued uncertainty?
We Are in Uncharted Waters with this Global Call for Social Distancing.
How Do We Support Public Safety While Maintaining Our Human Connections?
And as Cities and States Begin to Lift the Stay at Home Order Our Uncertainty Continues to Grow, What if there is a Second Wave?
In times of great stress and uncertainty, we need to feel connected more than ever. We need some sort of stability and normalcy to feel safe and grounded.
The level of uncertainty, isolation, and loss of industry opens us to a wide array of potential emotional challenges such as anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, addictions, hoarding disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder, just to name a few…
The impact of this global pandemic could have long-lasting negative effects.
With a crisis of this magnitude, there are non-clinical steps we can take within our businesses and as a community to minimize the negative impact of this global pandemic by providing each other with the social support and stability we need to strengthen our leadership abilities and develop our hardiness and resiliency.
So Much is Out of Our Control
Crisis Response Group Coaching Puts Us Back In The Drivers Seat!
There is so much happening around the world that we have no control over. We look to our leaders for guidance and direction, we wait to see what is going to happen next, and we rely on experts to guide and direct us. When we feel confident in our leaders ability to utilize the guidance and direction from experts it provides us solace but when leadership is lacking it can have devastating consequences.
The data shows poor leadership, including divided leadership, can have a diminishing impact on a follower’s ability to perform, cope with stress, and make meaningful decisions. When followers do not trust their leaders it can have a confounding negative and long-lasting impact.
In extremely stressful situations with high levels of uncertainty, it can be difficult to wade through the sea of noise coming from external influences impeading our ability to think clearly, perform effectively, and plan strategically. The Quiet the Noise Group Coaching Certification program was created to quiet the outside distractions while providing a structured, safe, and inspirational space to gain clarity of vision, build resiliency, and construct a plan of action in this time of confusion, frustration, and overwhelm.
This is the first time in the history of humanity where we are all come together with a global call for social distancing to combat a shared threat. We are in this together, and what that means is we can’t wait for the experts to figure out what we need 6 months or a year from now.
If we wait, the level of impact of trauma will be monumental. As Benjamin Franklin so eloquently put it, “An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure.”
If we act now, we can potentially reduce the level of trauma exponentially simply by providing each other support, sharing our stories to normalize our experiences, and coming together to brainstorm what we need within our organizations and our communities to rebuild our economic losses taking clear decisive organized action toward positive solutions.
This is what Crisis Response Group Coaching is all about and so much more!
When leadership is not working we have two choices we can wait and see or we can step up and lead.
